Bronx, New York: Recently, the family of Mr Paschal Obilor and Dr. Mrs. Stella Onuoha-Obilor held a Wake-Keeping and Celebration of Life event for Eze Dr. Charles Obinna Onuoha, Eze Udo 111 of Osu Ama Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano LGA Imo State Nigeria who passed onrecently in Nigeria. The event was held at the Church of Nativity Bronx New York.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Friends, relatives, and sympathizers of the Obilor family and the people of Umunachi Osu ama in the United States began gathering at the venue around 8PM. The event kicked off with the introduction of the MC, Chief Tony Duru followed by the introduction of the bereaved family. Opening prayer was led by Ven. Dr. Paul Ekezie and Rev. Ifeanyi Obiechefu. Chief Romanus Ofegbu presented the house with the traditional kolanut and he was joined by other elders in the house including HRH. Eze Dimoriaku. Eulogy was then given by both Dr. Mrs. Stella Onuoha-Obilor and Chief Romanus Ofegbu. Dinner was served before the bereaved family stepped out to the dance floor accompanied by friends and relatives. Various communities took their turn to express their condolences as they danced with the bereaved family. The Obilor family was helped by a team of commiittee of friends in organizing the event.
