Recently, the Anglican Uka Ndi Igbo Bronx New York, held a birthday celebration mass for some of its members including: Sir Felix Nnorom ( Chairman of the Church ), Chief Mike Ude (Harvest Committee Chairman ), Chief Chike Mbalelwe (Men’s Group president ). The church worships every Sunday from 1:30pm till 4pm under the guidance of their pastor, Rev. David Chimezie Nwanekpe. Services are conducted in Igbo language the same way it is done in Nigeria.
In the words of the Chairman, Sir Felix Nnorom, “the Church is a place where everyone is somebody and God answers prayers in a special way. It is the Igbo church in the Bronx with talented professional gospel singers and band. A church where young ones read the bible in Igbo and English Languages. We have active youth ministry and choir. Mother’s union. Men’s group. Elder fellowship. A church where Jesus knows you by name. And a church were God answers your prayer.
