Brooklyn, New York, USA: The Nollywood Producers Guild, USA recently held its annual get-together and dinner event at the Amarachi Prime in Brooklyn, New York. In attendance were guild members from around the United States such as Pascal Atuma, Oliver Oscar Mbamara, Chisom Oz-Lee, Bethels Agomuoh, Moses, Adedeji, Felix Nnrom, Chuck Ajoku, among others. Also, in attendance were other African filmmakers such as Chinny Chukwu of “Alice My First Lady” and American-Ghannain filmmaker, Kofi Okafe. There were other supporters of the African Film Industry in attendance as seen in the photos below.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Members of the guild as well as their supporters, and Nollywood fans arrived at the new upscale venue – Amarachi Prime located on the ground floor of the 189 Bridge Street Tower, off the entrance of the Manhattan bridge. While some networked, some jammed to the hits being spun by the DJ before everyone settled down to some delicious dinner. There was a formal interval of brief meeting and discussion of pressing guild issues after which members then relaxed and enjoyed themselves till the close of business at Amarachi Prime.
