Beverly Hills, California: On the 13th of September at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills the African NAFCA honored thespians among the best in the field of entertainment. Over 500 Hollywood celebrities came to celebrate the strides being made in Nollywood, the second-biggest film-producer in the world after India. The African NAFCA Awards Show was a true “star-studded gala.
Recipients and attendees include: Royal Majesty Kabiyesi Oba Kole Ojutalayo representing His Imperial Majesty Kabiyesi Alaiyeluwa Oba Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II The Ooni of Ife, Ben Bruce (CEO of Silverbird Group), Special NAFCA Patriot award recipient Governor Yvon Alteon of Haiti, Hollywood fine Artist Davood Roostaei. Hollywood legends including Louis Gossett Jr., Glynn Thurman, Keith David, actor Blair Underwood, over 500 Hollywood actors and filmmakers were in attendance. Nollywood stars Majid Michel, Omoni Oboli, Juliet Ibrahim, Jeta Amata, Charles Okorocha, Anita Josephs and Chijioke Nnaji came to show support. Nollywood USA/UK’s Chisom Oz Lee, Ken Smart, Clara Folashade Fernaldo, Kelechi Eke, Robert Peters, Soleil Diva, Papa Gee, Chima Austin, Bridget John were among stars at the prestigious award at the historic Saban Theatre of Beverly Hills. This year’s award was hosted by Jackie Christie of Basketball Wives of LA, NAFCA award winning Michael Adegoke, Hollywood actor Lester Speight and Kalitta Smith.
