Oliver Mbamara, KOK, Joi John, Others Receive African Community Service Award 2018
Alexandria, Virginia, USA: It was an evening of celebration and appreciation as the African Community Service Awards 2018 was held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria Virginia to celebrate and recognize the efforts of several African artists, enterpreneurs, attorneys, judges, doctors, engineers, philanthropists, community leaders, and other professionals, who have been contributing to the growth of African communities in the USA, Nigeria, and around the world. Aso among those recognized were other individuals who have been sympathetic to the course of Africans and the care of African communities around the world.
The event was hosted by singer entertainer, Anna Nwalagho and Keynote speech was delivered by Attorney Craig Wolf. Our own judge Oliver O. Mbamara, Nollywood legendary actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, and Media mogul Joi John were among the recipients. Filmmakers Bethels Agomuoh and Felix Nnorom, President CEO of United People for African Congress (UPAC) and UPAC Organizing for Africa (UOFA/A Bipartisan Organization), Dr. Sylvester Okere, and Dr. (Chief) Hyacinth Nwachukwu patron/founder of the prestigeous Igbo Council of Traditional Title Holders, USA were among the dignitaries in attendance. In his thank you address, President of ACSA, Dr. Kingsley Kagha thanked attendees and announced that nominations are already open for the 2019 awards.
