Nigerians in USA Ready For Another Culture Night, Independence Parade, Oct 2nd, Oct 24

New York, New York: Nigerians in the USA gathered at the Nigeria House in Manhattan, New York City on Saturday September 19th for one of its final meetings before the annual Nigerian Culture Night and Nigeria Independence parade events. Consular officers at the meeting include: Mr. Sa’ad Muhammadu Bello – Acting Consul General; Mrs. Kate Ihuoma Igbodike – Consul, Information, Culture & Education; Mrs. Chioma Okorie-Hidera – Head of Chancery; Mr. Lawal Idris – Consul, Welfare; Mr. Sunmonu Bello Osagie, Consular officer. On the side of the OAN/NIDC Executives, those in attendance include: Mr. Solomon Bakare – President; Mr. Francis James – Board member; Mrs. Victoria Omotade – Board member; Mr. Ken Osho – Board member; Michael Adeniyi – Board member; Special Apostle Fola Aiyedun – NIDC Secretary. Other Nigerians and officers of OAN/NIDC . Also, in attendance were several individuals, organizations, youth, women, and men from all walks of (Nigerian) life.

The event which was hosted by Nigerian House also featured a rousing farewell ceremony for Mr. Taiwo Ayomoba, Consul, Trade & Investments, for his patriotism and for serving Nigeria diligently.  Mr. Ayomoba returned to Nigeria at the end of his term. Pictures By African Events Inc.

CULTURE NIGHT: This year’s Culture Night will hold on October 2, 2015. See Details on CULTURE NIGHT Time and Location:  – Friday Oct. 2 –  CULTURE NIGHT at 153-10 Jamaica Avenue, Queens New York.

INDEPENDENCE PARADE – The parade event will hold on October 24, 2015 in Manhattan, New York. – Sat. Oct. 24 – INDEPENDENCE PARADE 2014 (11AM @2nd Avenue, From 54th to 44th St. Manhattan New York).

The next/final meeting  of the organizing Committee before the parade will take place on October 3, 2015, at Celestial Church of Christ (NY Parish), 1380 Jefferson Avenue Brooklyn NY 11237. The church is located between Knickerbocker Street and Irvin Place. The meeting will start at 5:00 pm and end at7:00 pm. This is also our parade assignment distribution meeting. If you would like to volunteer for specific roles during the parade and after parade celebration, please make every effort to attend this meeting.
