After another successful event in 2014, supported by the Botswana Chamber of Mines and endorsed by the Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Mining IQ is pleased to bring to you the 3rd Edition of the Coal and Iron Ore Botswana conference. For a sneak peek at the 2015 topics and speakers, download the preliminary agenda here.

Home to an estimated 202bn tonnes of thermal coal, Botswana presents great opportunities for its mining sector. However due to oversupply in the thermal coal market, the mining industry has seen a decline in international commodity prices. In addition, the challenging reality of infrastructure logistic constraints continues to raise questions over the timescale within which these coal and iron ore reserves can be commercialized.

Mining IQ’s 3rd Annual Coal and Iron Ore Botswana 2015 will provide you with an ideal platform to discuss vital issues shaping the future of coal and iron ore in Botswana; giving you an opportunity to meet with stakeholders across the whole value chain and explore strategies that will contribute to the commercialization of the coal and iron ore and assessing the way forward.

The event is endorsed by MMEWR and in partnership with the Botswana Chamber of Mines.
