Okigwe Summer Party in New York, August 30, 2003

The Okigwe Community Organization Inc. USA recently held its Annual Summer Party in New York. The party was widely attended by indigenes of Okigwe, friends, and other Africans in the Tri-state area. A couple of African Americans were also in attendance to party with their African brothers and sisters. Our men, Oliver Mbamara, Esq. and Sir Citor Felix Nnorom were there to bring you the complete coverage of the event enhanced with great photo shots, as usual.

Chief Bob Nwosu, the Incumbent President of the Organization

DANCING LADIES: Lolo Agu, Lolo Ohakam, and Mrs. Chima Ekezie, were among the women who entertained the audience with some African cultural dance steps.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The event commenced with the arrival of Okigwe sons and daughters, friends and relatives from around the tri-state area. The opening prayer was followed by the presentation of Kola nut and addresses by hosts, guests, and dignitaries. Attendees then treated themselves to the variety of dishes available for the mammoth crowd. After a while, the Okigwe women entertained the audience to their cultural dance steps. After that, the audience was taken through a non-stop dance session by DJ Mohammed.
