Mbama Party 2003 in New York

The Mbama Community Organization held its annual party recently. The event took place in New York and was widely attended by members as well as non-members of the organization in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Our men, Oliver Mbamara, Esq. and Sir Citor Felix Nnorom were there to bring you the complete photo coverage of the event.

PRESENTING THE KOLA NUT: Chief Emejuru (middle) leads the presentation of the kola nut; an essential practice in Ibo tradition. Chiefs Anorue and Nwosu look on.


HOW IT HAPPENED: The event commenced with the arrival and seating of guests. There was opening prayer led by two reverends in the house. Kola nut was served and the Chairman of the organization made a brief remark to welcome the audience. Food and drinks were served, quickly followed by dance, dance, and more. There was less talking as the audience enjoyed themselves well into the morning. Distinguished guests of the night were Sir and Lady Laz Mbamara Ekejiuba (parents of our editor - Oliver Mbamara, Esq., and Charles Mbamara, CPA) and The guest of  among whom
